"An important aspect that GWUOHS offers its students in comparison to other schools, virtual and brick and mortar, is our advisory program. As advisors, the staff has the unique opportunity to develop very personal relationships not only with their advisees, but with the families of their advisees. These relationships have become very important to me as an educator because I've been able to establish a unique rapport with each student, their family, their culture, their beliefs, their motivations – all which contribute to success in high school."

"I love teaching at GWUOHS. The student-teacher ratio allows me to get to know my students very well, to be available for them, and to give them help when and where they need it. I’ve been able to establish relationships with families and organize trips and service learning projects to meet them in person. I’ve been able to help students plan for their college careers and future endeavors. I’ve been able to do so much that has not been possible in previous schools at which I’ve taught. I’m excited to be a part of it!"
